We look forward to welcoming new families to ALC. Here’s what enrollment looks like, step by step.

Inquire

Submit an interest form or email to be added to the admissions updates list.

Visit

Attend an Info Session to get a feel for the program.

Apply

The Director will send an application to families who have attended an Info Session.

Interview

Qualified applicants will be selected for an interview and student visit.

Admissions decisions are sent in the spring. Families must reply with a decision by the given deadline.

2026-27 Enrollment Options

In 2026-27, we will offer three enrollment pathways. This allows us to welcome both homeschool and non-homeschool families into our learning community. It also allows families to tailor their child's learning experience to their needs, interests and budget.

Homeschool Co-op

This option provides enrichment classes for homeschoolers who are receiving their academic instruction at home. Students come Tuesdays for drop-off classes in music, art and movement. On Fridays, they join with their parents or caregivers for monthly field trips, seasonal lessons at Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food & Agriculture, and special events. When there is no field trip or activity scheduled, Fridays are "Learn at Home" days.

Hybrid Homeschool Program

Students enrolled in the hybrid option receive academic support at ALC as well as music, art, movement and Spanish classes. They come to school for drop-off classes four days a week and may choose an earlier or later pick-up time. On Fridays, they join with their parents or caregivers for monthly field trips, seasonal lessons at Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food & Agriculture, and special events. When there is no field trip or activity scheduled, Fridays are "Learn at Home" days.

Monday-Thursday 8:50-1:50 (early dismissal) or 8:50-2:40 (late dismissal)

Full Time Academic Program

Our new enrollment option, the full time academic program makes all ALC has to offer available to families who are not homeschoolers. Like a typical independent or private school pathway, students in this option meet five days a week for core academics as well as art, music, movement and Spanish classes. On Fridays, they join for monthly field trips, seasonal lessons at Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food & Agriculture, and special events. When there is no field trip or activity scheduled, Fridays are regular class days.
